Happy 12th Birthday Courtney

Courtney turned 12 this year, I can't believe where all the years have gone. Courtney wanted to go out to eat on her birthday but our family wasn't able to because her dad was on call. I decided that I would suprise her and invited her good friend, Jadyn and her mom to go out with us. When we went to pick her up she asked what they were doing with me and when she found out we were going out to eat together she was so excited. She wanted to go to Applebees and they sang to her and gave her a brownie and ice cream. We all had a really fun time. I did forget my camera and so have no pictures of the evening.

Easter

This year my mom is turning 80 years old and so the girls and I decided that we would go up to North Dakota and surprise her. They were both shocked and so excited that we could come up and spend Easter with them. When we got there Grandma said that we were just going to do fun stuff the whole time we were there. We were able to go out for both of my parents birthdays at a chinese restaurant which was fun. We colored easter eggs and spent Easter at the nursing home service with Courtney playing amazing grace on her Saxophone and playing Jesus Loves Me and Chelsey singing. The residents all loved that and even the staff came to the door to listen. We went to church for a nice Easter service after that.

Disney on Ice

The girls and I went to Disney on Ice during spring break. We saw Minnie & Mickey, Goofy, Donald Duck, All the disney princesses, Toy story characters, Beauty and the beast, Nemo, and many more. It was celebrating 100 years of disney and so we were able to see many of the characters. It was a very nice show and we all enjoyed it very much.

Since Bryan and the boys went to Colorado skiing for spring break we decided to go to the zoo. Some good friends of our went with us and we had a really fun time!! There was not that many at the zoo and so the kids had a great time, we even ate by the gorillas.

Playing with PlaydoughChelsey goes to "His Kids" our churches preschool program on Wednesday nights. I went to parents night on March 3 and took pictures of the evenings events. She loves to go and learn about Jesus. This is her last year here and next year will be going to Awana.

Braces are OFF

Brandon got his braces off and boy are we happy about that!!! He received a bag full of candy that he wasn't supposed to eat while he had the braces on so that was fun (he actually did eat some of it, like popcorn, etc). He has a very nice smile but doesn't show it much, I guess he is a teenager!!

Spelling Bee

Courtney & Dylan both made it to the spelling bee this year. Dylan made it to the top 11, but didn't place.

Basketball

Both Dylan and Courtney played basketball this year. Dylan (7)was on the 8th grade team and Courtney (8) on the 6th grade team. Both of their teams did not do real well. Dylan's didn't win any games and Courtney's won 1 game. They both really love to play basketball and had a really fun time doing it.
